About Budumba Secondary School

Budumba Secondary School is a government-aided secondary school situated along the Busolwe–Namutumba Road in Budumba Sub-county, Butaleja District, within Bunyole West Constituency in Eastern Uganda.

The school serves learners from Budumba and surrounding communities by providing secondary education aimed at developing academically capable, disciplined and responsible citizens.

Our educational approach is guided by our mission of preparing and producing learners for generations while working towards becoming a recognised centre of academic excellence within the region.

Our History

The history of Budumba Secondary School dates back to 1988, when the school began serving the community. Despite some early challenges, the school continued to grow and develop over the years.

In 2007, Budumba Secondary School joined the Government of Uganda’s Universal Secondary Education (USE) programme, allowing it to serve a growing number of learners.

As enrolment increased, the need for more classrooms, teaching facilities and other infrastructure also grew.

In 2017, the Government of Uganda officially took over the school as a government-aided secondary school in Budumba Sub-county. This led to the recruitment of government-supported staff across different departments.
